Every company signs contracts. And almost every company stores them the same way: the Word file in an email, the signed PDF in a folder nobody remembers, and the renewal date… in someone's head. Until a tacit renewal quietly buys you another year of a service you no longer wanted. NAiOS Legal is your company's everyday legal department: every contract, NDA, engagement or power of attorney becomes a case file with its parties, dates, renewal terms and status — from draft to active, and from expired to renewed, without losing the thread.
The contract as a case file
A Legal case file is not a dead archive: it has a life cycle (draft → under review → active → expired or terminated, with honest transitions — a contract under review cannot "expire"), amendments hang from their parent contract, and signed PDFs live as attachments under your company's permissions. Counterparties are looked up in your CRM by name or tax ID, and from then on their contracts show up automatically in that company's 360 view.
An NDA in three clicks
Legal ships with house templates —mutual and one-way NDAs, service agreements, GDPR data-processing agreements— with variables: pick a template, fill in the parties, and the draft is born in NAiOS Office, ready to edit, with versioning, protection and semantic search included. A detail we care about: if a variable has no value, the placeholder stays visible in the document — nothing gets made up. And every generated document carries its disclaimer: templates draft, they don't advise.
Nothing renews behind your back
Half of Legal's value lives in the watcher: contract end dates show up in your NAiOS Calendar, and the bell warns you inside the notice period — before the tacit renewal kicks in, which is when a warning is still worth something. Expired contracts are flagged automatically. And powers of attorney get their own wording, because a power doesn't "renew itself": it lapses, and someone quietly loses their authority to represent you.
A copilot that doesn't play lawyer
Legal's copilotAI CopilotAI Assistant integrated into work tools summarises clauses by reading the actual document, compares your draft against the template it came from ("what changed versus the model?") and searches inside your contracts ("what does the exclusivity clause in the agreement with X say?"). Writing —creating a follow-up task, touching dates— always arrives as a proposal you approve with one click. And one unbreakable rule: it summarises and compares citing the document; it never issues legal opinions. That's your lawyer's job.
Old paper contracts? Extract from PDF: upload the scan and the AI proposes title, counterparty, dates and renewal — only where there is literal evidence in the text. Anything doubtful is discarded, and you're told how many fields were left out. The case file is born as a draft, with the PDF attached, for you to review field by field.
Everyday compliance
Legal includes the GDPR Article 30 record of processing activities: purposes, legal bases, categories, recipients, retention — with Article 28 processing agreements tied to their contract. Export the whole record to an Office document in one click. It's an operational record, not consultancy: the export itself says so. For the fast lane, the express NDA (template + counterparty + signature, one step) and the contract book exportable to a spreadsheet or CSV.
And when it's time to sign…
From the case file, one button: Send to signature. The envelope goes out through NAiOS Firma —electronic signature with a chained evidence record— and when everyone has signed, the certificate comes back to the case file on its own, as an attachment. The contract's status never changes without you: the bell rings, you decide.
