Description
NAiOS's NATIVE mail client (not via Composio): add any IMAP/SMTP account (Gmail with app password, IONOS, Outlook, corporate) and work with it in two ways. (1) A built-in WEBMAIL-style INBOX: read emails with safe HTML rendering (remote images blocked by default), compose with formatting and Cc/Bcc plus recipient autocomplete from your contacts, attachments (image gallery and download), a signature per account, drafts, folders, a unified multi-account inbox and conversation/thread view. Prioritize at a glance with avatars (profile photo, Gravatar or monogram), human names and relationship/urgency signals. The AI analysis is context-aware: it reads the text of attachments and earlier messages in the thread, and can expand with a web search that YOU approve with one click (nothing goes out to the internet without your approval), citing sources. (2) From the CHAT and AGENTS: exposes native tools through the tool-provider contract of the plugin-loader (zero core changes): mail_list, mail_search, mail_read (with optional AI analysis and optional archiving to the KB), mail_reply, mail_send and mail_forward. Credentials are stored encrypted with secret-vault (AES-256-GCM), never in plain text or in the browser. Outgoing actions (reply/send/forward) ALWAYS require human confirmation (HITL), both in chat and when used by an agent (high-risk verbs keep confirmation even in auto-approved agents). Optionally: it alerts you through the NAiOS notification system about relevant emails (AI relevance filter, per account), and archives emails to the Knowledge Base for semantic search. It degrades honestly: without AI, mail_read returns the raw email and alerts notify about everything new; without the Knowledge Base or Notifications, those features state that they are not available.
